Ursula Cardenas (Cusco-Peru 1980, based in Ghent, Belgium).
Ursula is surprised and touched by dreams, nostalgia and the magic of childhood.
These three elements intersect, open doors to each other, complement each other and put her in a certain mood in which she wants to stay for a while and which form her inner world.
While playing she tries to make that world visible before it has completely disappeared.
Elements of nature often appear in her work, in general you could describe it as subtle and feminine, which is the result of a process in which chance plays an important role and in which she mainly follows her feeling.
A work is not finished until it has been given a warm, safe place.
She does this by combining photography with tangibility, which can result in a book or an installation that emphasizes intimacy.
